Singtel is the largest mobile network operator in Singapore with 4.1 million subscribers and through subsidiaries, has a combined mobile subscriber base of 640 million customers at the end of the financial year 2017.
2359 partnered with SingTel to provide build the perfect companion app for Singtel TV subscribers. Singtel TV GO brings the rich Singtel TV experience to your mobile and tablet devices, you can enjoy over 150 channels wherever you go.
2359 took over the existing code base from Singtel’s previous vendor and evaluated that the system could do with significant improvements. We worked with Singtel to greatly improve the speed and efficiency of the system, as well as refactored away legacy bugs for a more polished and stable end-user experience. The result was a native iOS application (built into Swift) that serves Singtel TV’s Live Channels and On-demand content to consumers.
Each page was built with a very specific purpose in mind. We’ve built the user flow of the product to make it as easy as possible to view TV shows, with enhanced targeted notifications sent to specific users. With the Sports Portal Enhancement, during the World Cup, real-time updates of screenings at nearby bars and restaurants were also available to users on the app.
After the new version of the app was launched, the app usage had seen incredible growth. People were loving the seamless user experience that the app provided, together with a brilliant user flow of the product to make it easy to watch TV on the go.
